Hi everyone. These past seven days have not been good, being down with a couple of viral ails. I am happy to say I am feeling better and will be posting reviews very, very soon (aiming for tomorrow). I did miss one rather important date for me and this site. March 28th was my FIVE year anniversary here at Kid Lit Reviews (which means I have been reviewing children’s books for eight years. Where does the time fly?). Kind of a big deal.
So, to (post) CELEBRATE, I will be offering 5 books to 5 readers. The winners will choose from a list of books ranging from board books to middle grade novels. Some may be ARC’s but all will be terrific. It will be the winners choice from a provided list of titles, starting with the first name pulled (by Random.org). All you need to do is leave a comment with a way to reach you (link, email, or say you prefer to check winners.) Good Luck!
The most recent winner, Patricia Tilton, who won signed copies of The Shark Whisperer and The Shark Rider, the first two books in the Tristian Hunt and the Sea Guardians series will soon receive those books. (Patricia, I apologize for the delay).
To give this post some much needed color, here is a reblog of a post offering one winner (yep, only one), an original doodle from children’s author and humor blogger Mike Allegra. Now, I really do not want you to enter — I want this doodle and you will lower my chances of winning. IF—and only IF—you must have an original Allegra doodle, and who would not—you, that’s who—(it really is ART, not a doodle), go ahead and enter, if you must. I promise to be happy for you should you grab this right out from under my nose.
Here it is! The moment you have been waiting for! It is time once again for…
Thank you for the fanfare, Mr. Elephant.
A WIN A DOODLE CONTEST!
(Woo!)
IF YOU WIN, I WILL DRAW WHATEVER YOU WANT!
Don’t believe me? I have proof.
Past winners have asked for a Caffeine Gnome…
…a Protective Great Dane…
…a Yoga Practitioner Petting an Angel Dog…
…a Larcenous Cow…
…and a Raven Shapeshifter (whatever that is).
Also a gang of unseemly hooligans forced me to draw this guy:
As a consequence of this near-criminal harassment, my doctor tells me I now have PTSD (Post Traumatic Salamander Disorder).
So yes, I will draw whatever you want.
Well, I do have one exception; I will draw whatever you want provided that what you want is not pervy. I am a…

I will let you know. Thanks for the Sir Princess Petra’s Mission book tour. I appreciate it and will get there to comment. Did you enter Mike’s contest? His “doodles” art really great and he will draw what you like and write a story for you. Big contest this time.

Thanks. I do feel better. If I win, it would be my second, which is a little selfish, considering the man, many people who would love an Allegra original, but I want to collect them and hang them in my writing room for inspiration.
