“Dugger. Dugger. Digger.” A young Dalmatian puppy wakes up, wondering about the noise. Outside his window is a strange sight: a Dalmatian in a Digger! The young Dalmatian runs outside and jumps on top of the digger. As he watches the digger work from atop its roof, another sound wakes the neighborhood. An unusual driver mans this machine, too. Four construction vehicles are working in the backyard, each driven by an unusual driver.
Onomatopoeia introduces each construction vehicle, giving young children the opportunity to guess the source of each noise before turning the page to find an unusual sight. Four unusual sounds introduce four construction vehicles, each driven by a different animal. The backyard scene comes alive with activity. The crew brings in objects, digs a hole, and moves boulders. What could they be making? The final spread shows young children what these busy animals made, all to the delight of the Dalmatian puppy.
Young children will love Dalmatian in a Digger, especially boys. The illustrations are adorable and filled with outdoor details and bright colors. The finished project is amazing. Every young Dalmatian pup will want this crew over to build one in their backyard. I certainly do. It will take children a while to notice all the activities this new thing provides. Dalmatian in a Digger is a delightful winner!

Ya gotta love dogs, especially Dalmatians, but any old mutt will do (extra points if they can drive a rig).

I’m so glad. I hope you enjoy pushing and pulling tabs with your grandkids. I love onomatopoeia and can almost correctly spell it (forgot the last ohh).

gulp I don’t even like to walk close to where there are diggers and construction noise. I don’t think I’d like to ride the digger. #bravedalmation
Love and licks,

Don’t blame you one bit. Those diggers look like they have enough teeth to out bite any rottweiler.
