What Do You Wear? That’s a daily questions for most of us, but for animals they wear the same thing every day. Toddlers will love to know what exactly these animals wear. Like Sheep, on the cover, it wears a fluffy jacket every day. Rhino wears a warm, waterproof brown coat. As toddlers turn the thicker than average pages, they find a new animal, they might have seen before. This time, toddlers find out what each animal wears. The animals included are: Sheep, Duck, Rhino, Snake, Goldfish, Penguin, Zebra, Gorilla, and a surprise. Gomi’s images are usually cute and adorable, and What Do You Wear is no exception. Most animals look like youngsters, just like the final animal. And what animal finishes this adorable board book? Why the animal dearest to each toddler’s heart—another toddler. The dark-skinned boy wears nothing, until the final spread where the child is persuaded, “Quick, let’s get dressed!”
Originally, What Do You Wear was published in Japan under the title Komono. Taro Gomi has become popular in the US thanks to his adorable illustrations and having a knack for knowing what young children enjoy. To date, he has published more than 400 books, translated in 15 languages.
