I have soo many fond memories tied to this book. A good friend gave it to us when our son was born. He LOVED this book! 50 years without going out of print. There’s a reason for that, isn’t there?

Never out of print is indeed amazing. I don’t remember this from my childhood. Is that odd?

I don’t recall it from mine, either, but then my parents didn’t buy many books. They read a few fairy tales and Mother Goose and called it a day. 😀

I can’t believe that Bill Martin’s classic is 50 years old. My daughter recited this favorite and other spin-offs as a toddler. Later she loved his book “The Ghost Eye Tree.” Have given this book as a gift to grandchildren. Now I’m starting over with great grandchildren.
