As of 2019, Top Books no longer come from 6-Star reviews. The rating system has changed. Kid Lit Reviews is following the current trend and will only be offering “starred reviews” for a book that is exceptional (would have been a 6-Star in past years). Clicking a title in any year will take you to the review. At the bottom of the review is a link to Amazon if you want to purchase the book and support KLR in the process (costs you nothing extra)
If a link doesn’t work, uses the Archive Page and scroll to the corresponding review number [# in brackets].
BB – board book; CB – chapter book; PB – picture book; MG – middle grade book – *starred review

Okay, Sue, I did my civic duty and voted! This was more difficult than voting for the Prez. Each book had attributes that I really liked, so to bring it down to numbers. Well I don’t like it! I went to B & N to check out 5 of the 12 they had in stock. I purchased my favorite. I was very familiar with several of the books, but relied on your unbiased review for the remaining. There you have it, an educated vote!

Well, I have only read one of these books, shame on me, but I am going to claim having a toddler and writing my own books as my excuse hehe. We loved The Monstore, so we will cast our vote for that one. Best wishes in the new year….
